Reconnect with other Res-Life alumni as you walk down memory lane, touring the halls that you once called home. All residence halls will be open for tours, not to mention the weekend’s honorary birthday guest, Ireland Hall. The day’s festivities will include tours of the newest buildings on campus, the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex (opened in fall 2010) and the Anderson Student Center (opened in January 2012), as well as the O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library. To cap off the day, join other alumni and current students to celebrate the 100-year anniversary of Ireland Hall, with birthday cake included! There will be a Mass at 4:30 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend. Want to spend the night on campus on Friday, June 1? Rooms in the newest student residence, Flynn Hall, will be available to stay in prior to Saturday’s reunion events. Start planning who will be your roommates! Schedule of events: TOURS 9–11 a.m. O’Shaughnessy-Frey Library Join us for a guided tour and see renovations that beautifully blend tradition with modern form and function. Sitzmann Hall Tour the home of the Center for Catholic Studies and the Department of Catholic Studies. The remodeled house on the corner of Summit and Cleveland avenues (formerly the Fine Arts Building and Chiuminatto Hall) now has a chapel and classrooms. 11 a.m. James B. Woulfe Alumni Hall 3rd floor, Anderson Student Center Socialize and reminisce before a short presentation from the Residence Life staff about student life on campus. Program to begin at 11:30 a.m. LUNCH AND AFTERNOON TOURS 12:30 p.m. Enjoy lunch at T’s (short for Tommie’s), the new and improved “Grill.” Luncheon specials will be offered for purchase. After lunch, stop by the Tommie Shop and purchase your UST clothing, then take time to tour the rest of the Anderson Student Center, the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex, and the residence halls. Self-guided tour information will be provided. 100th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION 3–4:30 p.m. Ireland Hall Celebrate and honor the tradition of Ireland Hall with a special birthday treat in the upper quad. Today, a bit more modern but no less memorable, Ireland continues to be a student favorite, with its 308 current residents making new memories everyday. The hall will be open for tours hosted by fellow Tommies and current residents. We will cap off the festivities with birthday cake! MASS 4:30 p.m. Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas Celebrate Mass with fellow alumni. Celebrant: Father Erich Rutten, director of Campus Ministry. Open to all guests on campus.
