The Future of Smart Is Human

This February, Finding Forward welcomes Dr. Ulcca Joshi Hansen, a cultural futurist and author of The Future of Smart. As AI increasingly handles analytical and computational tasks, Hansen asks: What does this moment invite us to reclaim about being fully human—and how must we evolve to cultivate those capacities? Drawing on neuroscience and wisdom traditions, she explores the shift from "doing" intelligence to "being" intelligence: embodied knowing, relational awareness, and the ability to navigate complexity. Whether you're shaping schools, universities, workplaces, or communities, this conversation offers both challenge and invitation. This Finding Forward is co-sponsored by the St. Thomas School of Education.

President Rob Vischer will join Dr. Hansen in conversation.

We hope you join us —this Finding Forward will stay with you as you consider how the future of smart affects us all.
