An Evening with Author Percival Everett

Be part of a special Finding Forward featuring acclaimed author Percival Everett in a thought-provoking conversation with President Rob Vischer: "James and the Power of Re-Telling." Everett’s recent novel, James, retells - or rather, tells - Mark Twain's Adventures of Huckleberry Finn from the perspective of the character Jim, whose narrative was left out of Twain’s novel. This discussion will explore how shifting narrative voice can challenge assumptions and surface new truths. Don’t miss this engaging evening of literature, insight, and dialogue on the stories that define - and redefine - us.

This Finding Forward is brought to you in partnership with the English Department in the University of St. Thomas College of Arts and Sciences.
