Jenelle Hudok '02

For Janelle (Taylor) Hudok ‘02, the decision to attend the University of St. Thomas was rooted in a desire to grow both intellectually and spiritually. Drawn by the university’s Catholic foundation, she found an environment where faith and education worked hand in hand. Scholarships and grants played a pivotal role in making her Tommie experience possible.

Hudok’s time at St. Thomas helped shape the perspective she brings to her work today. “My education at St. Thomas deepened my faith and taught me methods to incorporate it into my daily life,” she said. That foundation continues to guide her personally and professionally as she seeks to make a meaningful difference.

Today, Hudok serves as a senior analyst at the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, where she supports investigative and analytical efforts that impact communities across the state and beyond. In addition to mentoring new analysts, she has helped develop an internal analyst academy and trains law enforcement professionals in investigative processes.

When asked what advice she has for current Tommies, Hudok encourages students to fully embrace the formative experiences available during their time on campus. Taking advantage of mission trips and faithcentered opportunities, she notes, can deepen both personal growth and academic learning. Her career advice is equally practical: focus on building strong work habits and relationships. “Get a job, any job, and get good at it,” she said. “Knowing how to work and how to get along with people will get you even further than a degree alone.”

Outside of her professional life, Hudok enjoys riding horses, raising chickens and jogging. Through her work, faith and service, she continues to reflect the values she strengthened at St. Thomas and contributes to a safer and more compassionate community.
